Every year the month of June is celebrated as Pride Month. This week, in honor of the Pride Month, wanted to prepare a slightly different content for our blog. We thought many of you will be interested in this topic, not to mention how important we consider it to able to talk about this topic openly on our social media channels.

If you follow us for quite long, you should know by now that we love, support and strongly stand for not only women, but for all human being on this planet – no matter your age, race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or disability.

WE SEE YOU. WE LOVE YOU. WE SUPPORT YOU. WE STAND STRONG FOR YOU.

We all carry our own meaning of life, a soul, great desires and a huge heart. We want society to accept us the way we are. We want to be seen as equal to others. We want to be able to live in a safe, loving environment. All of this might seem obvious for many of you, but it’s not for all.

’Beauty Begins The Moment You Decide To Be Yourself’

Speaking of wich, we truly think that now is time to take the opportunity to show support, to observe, listen and educate ourselves together on this ’colorful’ topics. We believe that the Pride Month itself and the Pride events taking place all over the world are made for educational purposes and they are peresentin a chance for you to express your support for your friends, family, coworkes, neighbors or other LGBTQ people in your life. They – just like you – should have the right and the opportunity to feel heard, feel safe and have equal right.

’Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents. It is also the belief that no one should have poorer life chances because of the way they were born, where they come from, what they believe, what they stand for, or how they have look like. ’

Here are some of the hings you can do this Pride month but also all year long to support the LGBTQ people in and outside of your life.

EDUCATE YOURSELF: Don’t expect your loved ones to educate you. Show them you care by putting in time and work to understand them and the issues they are passionate about.

SHIFT YOUR MINDSET: Part of educating yourself is also reframing how you view the world around you, which might mean unlearning certain expectations or assumptions.

SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT: Being supportive, understanding and loving is one of many way to be a better friend and a human being itself.

ACCEPT THE DIFFERENCES: LGBTQ people also dress different ways, speak in various manners, and express femininity and masculinity in all sorts of ways that aren’t necessarily connected to their sexual orientation or gender identity. But keep in mind that these differences makes us so special and unique. Being different is beautiful.

SHARE YOUR VOICE: Try to speak supportively of LGBTQ people, This act could even inspire others to speak up or get more involved.

DO NOT QUESTION IT, BUT RATHER ACCEPT IT: The best you can do for LGBTQ community is to accept them as they are, 100% from the bottom of your heart. This should be an absolute normal thing.

Equality includes everyone. Love is Love.

We want to support the #familyisfamily campaign among the For Rainbow Families Foundation with 1% of the incoming orders in month of June. This foundation makes it possible for children to grow up in a loving, caring and supporting environment. Together with the Family is Family association, we believe in the power of teamwork and that huge changes can be achieved with the slightest help.

FOR RAINBOWFAMILIES FOUNDATION:

‘The concept of marriage and family have been changing for the last couple of years. Although families with parents of different sexes are the idealized model, there are other (rainbow) types of families as well. Now is your chance to meet them.’

‘We believe that the most important thing for a child is to grow up in a loving and caring environment, that the concept of family is much more colorful than we’d sometimes think. Family is family, no matter the age, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. All that matters are the people who make the family one. Learn more about the rainbow parents here!
